On September 2, 2022, the Bank officially released the 2022 Interim Special Report on Corporate Social Responsibility (ESG and Sustainable Finance) of Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Limited for the second consecutive year. Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Certified Public Accountants LLP has carried out the third-party assurance of this report.

ICBC released 2021 Interim ESG Special Report of Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Limited


At the end of August 2021, the Bank released the 2021 Interim ESG Special Report of Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Limited to the public. The Report is prepared with reference to the Recommendations of the Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) of the Financial Stability Board, The Ten United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) Principles, the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), among others. It also meets the requirements set out in the Guidelines of Shanghai Stock Exchange for Environmental Information Disclosure of Listed Companies promulgated by the Shanghai Stock Exchange, the Environmental, Social and Governance Reporting Guide by The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited and other related opinions and guidelines.

2008 Corporate Social Responsibility Report

We have announced the Corporate Social Responsibility Report of Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Limited (2008) on 25th March 2009.This is the first time for ICBC to prepare corporate social report with reference to the 2006 Sustainability Reporting Guidelines of Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and to engage an independent third-party for verification of the corporate social responsibility report.

The Report begins with Chairman's Message and President's Message, and the main body of the Report includes fives parts, that is, Strategy and Profile, Economic Performance, Environmental Performance, Social Performance, and Social Contribution per Share. The Report ends with the third-party verification report, 2008 Awards and GRI Index.

2007 Corporate Social Responsibility Report

We have announced the Corporate Social Responsibility Report of Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Limited (2007) on 25th March 2008, which is the first corporate social responsibility report drafted by our bank.

The corporate social responsibility report of our bank is mainly composed of seven sections, namely driver of economic transformation, value creator, green bank, charity bank, harmonious bank, creditworthy bank and brand builder. Statement from the chairman and the president as well as the corporate social responsibility model are included at beginning of the report, and introduction to awards we won in 2007 is included at the end.
