The Sixth National College Financial Creative Design Contest Ends in Success
 

On December 11, 2015, the national final of the Sixth “ICBC Cup” Financial Creative Design Contest of National College Students was held at Central University of Finance and Economics. Eventually the works themed Organization Secretary - Cash Management Tool of University Student Organization from Dongbei University of Finance and Economics stood out with its creative design and won the championship of the contest. In addition, members of the national finalist teams will have the opportunity to work with ICBC, who can select any institution under ICBC to sign the employment agreement provided basic recruitment requirements of ICBC are met when they graduate.

Ten teams from the five regions of Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu and Changchun competed for the national championship at the finals. The teams were ranked based on presentation of designs and scores given by the judges. Commenced in June and covering registration, ICBC review, regional finals and national finals, the contest has attracted over 1,000 universities across the country and received 3,327 designs over the past six months.

As an important part of ICBC's joint effort with the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League to support the “Mass Response ” program, the contest is designed to popularize financial and wealth management knowledge to university students, enhance their financial practice and improve their financial literacy in the form of financial creativity contest. The contest has not only stimulated participants' enthusiasm to study financial knowledge and enhanced their financial awareness but also demonstrated their strong knowledge reserve.

According to an ICBC official, since its debut in 2010, the “ICBC Cup” Financial Creative Design Contest of National College Students has become a bank-university cooperation and innovation event with nationwide influence, and extensive participation from university faculties and students. ICBC has stepped up reward in recent years to attract university students with creative ideas to attend the contest and create more excellent financial designs. The contest has played a positive role in promoting “mass entrepreneurship and innovation” and nurturing innovation talents.
