ICBC Board Appoints Mr. Zhang Hongli as the Senior Executive Vice President
 

April 19, 2010 –The Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Limited announced that Mr. Zhang Hongli has been named by the Board of Directors to serve as ICBC's Senior Executive Vice President, in accordance with the adopted Motion of Appointing Mr. Zhang Hongli as the ICBC Senior Executive Vice President. The appointment is subject to the approval of China Banking Regulatory Commission. ICBC Board welcomes Mr. Zhang Hongli to bring in his staple of knowledge in financial market internationally and in China, as well as his rich experience in international banking.

Mr. Zhang Hongli was born in 1965. He held various senior management roles in Deutsch Bank since October 2004 as a member of the Investment Banking Global Execution Committee, Asia Pacific President and Chairman of Deutsch Bank (China) Limited. Mr. Zhang Hongli joined US Hewlett Packard at the headquarters as the Financial Manager in July, 1991. Starting from July 1994, Mr. Zhang served on the Board of UK's Schroders International Merchant Bank as well as the China Sales Manager. In June 1998 Mr. Zhang joined the Goldman Sachs (US) as the Executive Director of Asia and Chief Representative of Beijing Office. Mr. Zhang joined the investment banking arm of Deutsch Bank in March 2001 as the Head of Greater China in Asia Branch, the Vice Chairman and Chairman of China Region and the President of Asia Region. Mr. Zhong Hongli graduated from Heilongjiang August First Land Reclamation University in July 1984. Mr. Zhang received his Master Degree in Heredity from the University of Alberta (Canada) in September 1989 and MBA from the University of California – Santa Clara in July 1991.
