The new service aims to meet with the program to revise electricity tariffs based on levels of electricity consumption. Instead, sign up ICBC Personal Internet Banking first, then login Internet Banking and buy electricity anytime, anywhere. It only takes 1 minute to go through few easy steps: at ICBC Personal Internet Banking, go to "Branch Service - Buy Electricity", enter customer No., amount and confirm the details. The online service allows customers to pay electricity for network meter, card meter or electricity bill.

Beijing Electric Power Company began upgrading of all residential electric meters in Beijing since 2011. So far, over 1.4 million residential smart meters have been installed or replaced. Leveraging its electronic banking and technological strength, ICBC Beijing Branch works closely with Beijing Electric Power Company to ensure the smooth launch of the service.
