Stock market index of Vietnam's capital Hanoi, HNX-Index, closed at 84.64 points on Thursday, up 0.18 points or 0.22 percent against the previous trading session.

A total of over 16.667 million shares worth some 172.247 billion Vietnamese dong (some 7.72 million U.S. dollars) were traded at the Hanoi Stock Exchange on Thursday, a decrease of 39.05 percent in volume and 34.89 percent in value against the previous trading session.

Prices of 99 stocks went up; 78 stocks fell down, while 49 stocks remained unchanged.
