The benchmark DAX index at Frankfurt Stock Exchange on Monday went up by 26.85 points or 0.22 percent and closed at 11990.03 points.
German industrial giant thyssenkrupp won the most by 2.31 percent, followed by automotive manufacturer Volkswagen and Daimler by 1.91 percent and 1.17 percent respectively.
Marketplace organizer Deutsche Boerse, energy groups E.ON and RWE were the top three losers on Monday, whose shares decreased by 0.70 percent, 0.63 percent and 0.62 percent respectively.
Daimler was the most traded share with a turnover of 306.17 million euros (326.47 million U.S. dollars).
