The U.S. dollar declined against most major currencies on Monday despite positive data from the country.

In late New York trading, the euro dropped to 1.0658 dollars from 1.0686 dollars, while the dollar bought 114.80 Japanese yen, lower than 114.83 yen in the previous session.
