Mr. Liu has served as Vice Chairman, Executive Director, President of the Bank since June 2024, and as President of the Bank since May 2024. Previously, he served as Vice Chairman, Executive Director and President of the Bank of Communications Co.. He served as Executive Vice President of China Investment Corporation. He served as Deputy General Manager of China Everbright Group Ltd., Executive Director and Deputy General Manager of China Everbright Group Limited. During the period, he also successively served as Chairman of Sun Life Everbright Life Insurance Company Limited, Vice Chairman of China Everbright Holdings Company Limited, Executive Director and Vice Chairman of China Everbright Limited, Executive Director and Vice Chairman of China Everbright International Limited, and Chairman of China Everbright Industrial (Group) Co., Ltd. Mr. Liu served as Senior Executive Vice President of China Everbright Bank, during the period he concurrently acted as General Manager of the Financial Market Centre of China Everbright Bank and President of Shanghai Branch of China Everbright Bank. He served as Assistant to President of China Everbright Bank. Mr. Liu graduated from Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He obtained a Doctoral degree in Business Administration. Mr. Liu is a senior economist.
