ICBC Named “Best Private Bank in China”
 

ICBC was recently named “Best Private Bank in China” at the “Global Private Bank Survey” organized by The Banker and PWM, edging ahead all Chinese and foreign banks. The award shows further international recognition of ICBC’s private banking business.

As is informed by an ICBC official, ICBC is the first private banking institution obtaining the private banking license in China issued by former China Banking Regulatory Commission in 2008. In the past decade, ICBC has maintained good momentum on the business. At present, ICBC manages a professional private banking service team with more than 5000 personnel, with its service network covering all domestic regions as well as 21 overseas countries and regions. As at the end of September, 2018, ICBC secured more than 86,100 private banking customers, with asset under management surpassing RMB1.51 trillion, leading the domestic industry. In terms of product services, ICBC boasts professional investment and management capabilities, as well as diverse product lines, being capable of providing customers with all-market, all-target and all-term asset allocations. In addition, centering on customer’s personalized demand, ICBC has launched multiple innovative services including overseas service, special account service, family wealth management and centurion black card for private banking, maintaining a leading role in the domestic private banking business.

The Banker and PWM are known for their independence and authority, thus having great influence in the international financial industry. The award, which is the result of rounds of selections from numerous participating banks by an independent jury, is highly authoritative.
