October 21 - China Banking Regulatory Commission today announced the approval of nomination of Li Xiaopeng for the post of Executive Director of ICBC. Li Xiaopeng begins his tenure on October 21, 2010.
Li Xiaopeng joined ICBC in 1984 and was appointed Senior Executive Vice President of ICBC in September, 2004. At present, Li Xiaopeng also serves the ICBC (Almaty) JSC as its Chairman, the ICBC (Middle East) Limited as its Chairman, the ICBC Leasing as its Chairman, the China Urban Financial Society as its Vice President, the China Society for Rural Finance as its Vice President, the Financial Leasing Committee and Industry Development Research Committee of China Banking Association as their director. Li Xiaopeng graduated from Zhengzhou University and received his Ph.D degree in Economics from Wuhan University.
